Joshua Ishimwe [Josh Ishimwe], one of the upcoming gospel recording artists who has put his marks in the Rwandan traditional music which praises God, has released a new song called Amasezerano (‘The Covenant’) which contains a message of consolation to the discouraged because of the delay in seeing what God has promised, reminding them that God cannot lie and that if the Earth is gone, Heaven will be gone, the believer will see what he has been promised.
His first song YESU NDAGUKUNDA (‘Jesus I Love You) was out in late 2020 and was well received by music lovers. He is now obsessed with music in the Traditional style. Explaining why he chose to do traditional music, Josh Ishimwe told us in a live interview that he was motivated by his love for Rwandan culture.
"The first reason I chose to make traditional songs is because I love our culture, which is why I wanted to share what I have (my music) and that love (of my culture) with others through our shared culture that we find as Rwandans (Traditional)," he said.
As he released his new song AMASEZERANO,'The Promise', Josh Ishimwe said in a message to his fans, "He is well aware that what He has promised, He is able to fulfill. as we can find it in Romans 4:21. "
Let remind that this song is one of the Hymns Songs in the Christian book of hymns (Indirimbo z'Agakiza), revisited in Rwandan traditional Music Style by Josh.
