The organizers of the 'Rwanda Gospel Stars Live' event, have decided to dismiss Dorcas and Vestine because they have been unable to reach an agreement with the MIE to look after their interests.
The dismissal of the girls resulted in the 'Rwanda Gospel Stars Live' event featuring 14 artists, including four rising and ten renowned artists who were also vying for the top ten millionrwanda francs (10Million Rfw).
As to why the 'Rwanda Gospel Stars Live' campaign had come to a standstill, the administration said it was due to the increase in Covid-19 that it had stepped up its efforts to prevent it."We were in #Gumamururugo (Lockdown/StayAtHome), you know we couldn't connect with people, but now it's back," they said.
Following the resumption of activities, from Tuesday, September 7, 2021, the artists have started practicing Live singing. After a month-long training, it is expected that by the end of October 2021, the Rwanda Gospel Stars Live concerts will begin airing on the National Rwandan television.
After the concerts or live performances, the winners will be announced, the first will be awarded 7 million Frw, the second will be awarded 2 Million Frw and the third will be awarded 1 Million Frw.
