In celebrating this year’s Easter; some big name worshipers from Burundi and the region came together in a song called 'Yarazutse’. To Christians all over the world, Easter is a great day to celebrate the resurrection of Jesus Christ who provided free salvation by dying on the cross and being resurrected after 3 days.
An Australian-based, David Nduwimana wrote the song while Fabrice Nzeyimana soundtracked with Landry Guez to produce the video. The 7 Gospel artists from Burundi and the East African Region namely: Fabrice & Maya Nzeyimana, Willy Uwizeye, Dudu.T Niyukuri, Fortran Bigirimana, David Nduwimana, and Apollinaire Habonimana.
Though they all live on different continents, they have found it best to join forces and wish all Christians on Earth a Happy Easter. What they have in common is that they are indisputably popular in Burundi and the Region and all of them have spent many years in Gospel music. This song introduces them to various activities they want to do in support of worship and worship music in Burundi and the Region.
David Nduwimana who wrote the song ‘Yarazutse’ which means ‘He resurrected’ revealed the message he wanted to convey, “To those who are listening to him will return to the place and remember the work of the cross as a ‘game changer’, remembering the script in John 3:16 is not just words, it is not just information, it is life. This is the best opportunity to receive Jesus Christ as the Savior. Let’s be in the family of God's children.”
He reminded Christians that Easter is not only celebrated on one day but also on a daily basis. He asserted that his confession had been obtained through torture. He continued, “Jesus has made new history for us, Jesus has given us life, Jesus is the true path to the Father!”
To all Gospel artists, Nduwimana suggests that they serve in collaboration without competing with one another since that will do great work on the Godly ministry. The very same statements were getting huge repeats from other artists in this banger.
Fabrice Nzeyimana who featured in this song and did the audio production told InyaRwanda that the artists in this some are in France, Australia, Kenya, America, Burundi, and Rwanda. However this was not an easy way to go, but the challenges didn’t stop them to put their talents together with an aim to support the regional gospel industry and this is one of the very many other projects to come. They all expressed their gratitude to each and everyone who supported their cause.
To wrap up Nzeyimana said, “Our message is that what Christ did is the foundation of all our beliefs. Although there are many religions, there is only one grave that we know, that of Jesus. He is alive and well, and everyone who believes in him is resurrected! We ask those who do not believe in him to receive him because he is the only way to our Father, God.”
