Gospel Singer Senga B, who lives in Canada with her family, rushed to the United States to perform a song with Adrien Misigaro, one of the most popular worship and praise musicians in the Rwandan Gospel Music scene. By now the song they’ve been working on has already gone out with its visuals.

Senga B. Christina [Pray B] is a gospel recording singer and worship leader, married and living in Canada with her family. She fellowships in the Source Of Life Gospel Church. In addition to being a singer, she is also a Music Director.

"In fact, when I grew up I found myself singing, I started in the children's choir in the church until I went to the main choir," she said.

"Only when I released my first song in 2015, maybe that's what I would call the beginning of my music journey, and I released out 4 songs, the first one I called 'Yesu Uri intwari' ('Jesus You Are a Hero'), the second one called 'Ur’Imana Nyamana' ('You Are God Almighty') which I did with traditional singer Intore Nziza Francis, the third 'Mu bikari' ('In the Courtyard') I worked with Ben and Chance, and this new one I did with Adrien Misigaro ”. She continued.

In a live interview, Senga B  continued, "My main goal is to expand the kingdom of God, through Holy Spirit-inspired songs." As for the idea of working on a song with Adrien Misigaro, she said, "Working on a song with Adrien Misigaro came up with the idea in 2020 when I had a song I wanted to do but the heart convinced me that I had to ask Adrien to be the one to work on that song."

"The reason why Adrien? he is my favorite singer and I love his songs and the way he sings to God with all his heart. In fact, it was not difficult for him to get involved, the first day we talked, we immediately made a plan on how we're going to make a song ".

Talking about the message in the song, "We wanted to tell people that no matter what, the difficult times we go through are peaceful because God is watching over us," she said.

"I look forward to more songs, with no change in the next few months there is another song I plan to put out," Senga B said.

"We are thankful that God continues to protect Rwanda, what he has done is so much, especially that today, Rwanda has a value for the world, and a new face, God continues to change the history of our country and we appreciate it," she added.

Gospel music group Blessed Sisters have denied parting ways following rumors that the three siblings; Peace Benedata, Rebecca Barinda Niyitegeka, and Dorcas Ashimwe, are no longer together as a band.

Founded in 2008, the group is popularly known for songs like Arahamagara, Mu Buzima, Luka, and Gir’intego, among others, and were among the winners of the 2010 Groove Awards.

However, they went silent in 2016 after releasing a video of their song called ‘Our Father’. Then Ashimwe, one of the trio, began releasing her own songs and performed at different concerts.
Meanwhile, at the end March, Niyitegeka also released a new song dubbed ‘Akira Amashimwe’, which loosely means ‘receive thanks', bringing about speculations that the group has split.

In an interview with The New Times over the weekend, the group president Niyitegeka denied the rumor, noting that the group even plans to release a new song soon.

“We are still together as Blessed Sisters, it is just that we are all living in different countries and cannot connect easily as we used to. We are actually planning to release a new song this year,” she explained.

Niyitegeka resides in France, while Benedata lives in Belgium. Ashimwe is the one living in Rwanda at the moment and has released a couple of songs since 2016, including ‘Your love’, ‘I surrender’, and ‘Forgive’.

“Being a group doesn’t mean one of us cannot record songs solo, whenever we feel like. We believe that God who began a good work in us as sisters will bring it to completion,” Niyitegeka added.

Speaking on the inspiration behind her new song, Niyitegeka said that it was inspired after seeing the mighty work of God.

“After seeing the wonders of God in my life and the life of those surrounding me, and the beauty of His creation, I got inspiration to proclaim His goodness with hope that the song can also uplift the souls of many who may feel frustrated in these hard times,” she said.

The lyric video of the song is in four languages; Kinyarwanda, French, English, and German. According to the singer the official video is in the works.
