This very new band of young guys aims at helping people in relation to the gospel ministry and worship as their way to support the industry. Drups Band is a group of musicians; both singers and some who play musical instruments. Healing the broken hearts is one of their goals via using other artists’ songs.

The band also plans to be featured in some songs as well as backing some other artists and choirs, perform in various concerts, and more so that they can keep on learning from their superiors. Therefore, they will do their own songs.

As the founder, Patrick Mugisha revealed in an interview with a local media house, supporting talented musicians is one of their focuses. Especially the ones who are still students or just finished high school and have no funds to pay for the music courses.

Mugisha said, “We want to change some histories and put the Rwandan gospel music to a higher level in both singing and playing the musical instruments as the band's uniqueness.”

All this started based on the online drum playing course they used to provide and so after learning how people liked it, and later they recruited other members and went on with doing ‘song covers’ They have done eight songs in total, including the international artists’ and locals’ like ‘Nkoresha’ by James & Daniella, ‘Papa’ by Vestine & Dorcas.

The band is made of Patrick Mugisha, Alice Nikokeza, Esther Tuyizere, Bertrand Rukundo, Sam Gentil Izere, Peruth Musoni Mbarushimana, Phallonne Shalom, Liliane Tuyishimire, Eddy Hakizimana, and Emelyne Penzi.
